I think it should unlock with exactly 12 months worth of service. If not, or if you wanna keep the number, add another month of service to be doubly sure it's unlocked fully and then port out as needed

What are you viewing the images on? Is it possible you like the screen on your old phone better?
Printing the images out they are pretty good but any screen is going to variate the image to nature of the screen.

I just received it, came with two cards. One says "Welcome to the Movement" which is the actual plan sim, the other "friends don't let friends over pay for wireless" which is the share the love sim you can give out for a free trial week of service. Did you maybe select Esim when you ordered?

For those who were asking about if you really need to port in to get the deal. This is from their activation process screen:

Go into your display settings. The default resolution is 1080p for some reason. You can toggle it to 1440p and it has no affect on battery life.

Camera is actually one of the best on the market here. It really shines in conditions other phones seem on par with it though so maybe you're comparing to another good phone in perfect conditions?

I was trying to compare in same conditions.. the old phone is Vivo - 3 years old.. As of now, all checks are done at home. Let me see when I take it out!!

The main weakness for the pixel 7 pro is selfie photos in dark environments or videos in dark environments. Everything else camera wise should be close to top in the current smart phone market. Sometimes photos will have a bit too much HDR effect, but other than that, it should definitely be better than your 3 year old vivo.
