Sea salt is normally derived from evaporated sea water and retains some minerals, imparting a slightly different taste and texture. Table salt, on the other hand, is generally mined from underground salt deposits and undergoes processing, often with added anti-caking agents. The choice between them often depends on personal preference and specific culinary applications.
This salt being fine grained would be best used in a regular table salt shaker for seasoning after plating or certainly could be used in any recipe that called for the salt to be fully incorporated. Kosher salt having a larger grain is a better choice for seasoning the surface of meats before cooking.
