Which store did you go to?
Edited to add- My local store was showing 1 in stock on their website for $129. When I went to the store there were 12 sets on an end cap along with several other Craftsman tools/sets and had no sale tags visible. It just had the $129 price tag on the front of the shelf they were on. I asked an employee to check the price for me to see if they rang up the sale price, which it did on his handheld scanner. He assured me it would ring up for the $45 price at the register, and it did. After leaving I got to thinking that I should grab one for each of my 2 sons for when they move out on their own and went back for 2 more. They were all still there and no new clearance tag had been added yet. Their website no longer tells the number available, only to check store for availability. So for anyone who has a store nearby, it's worth checking to see for yourself. And if the price tag doesn't reflect the $45 have an employee to check it for you. For $45 this is a great value for someone needing a starter set.
