Earn 1pt on every $1 spent (excluding gift cards, taxes, LQO)
Earn "starting at" 100pt for ink cartridges (still limited per month to something)
Associates actually get earned rewards now at the same rate plus we get 400pts for ink recycling
Points don't expire as long as you shop at staples within 18 months to stay active
You can earn bonus double points on select categories (tech items, ink and toner, P&M, chairs, etc) and you can pick up to 3 of them
App is going to have other limited time bonus offers that can be activated
Points can be redeemed at register at any whole dollar amount as long as the customer asks. (You have to first enable it on the main screen but go to the add tenders screen to see the available amount and add it)
Points are refunded when returning an item paid partially or in full with points
Points are worth a half penny each so 200pts = $1

I see now these FAQs were linked in their 1/03 email titled "Correction: We incorrectly announced our launch date for our loyalty program".
Looks like they are NOT accepting new Plus members. I wonder if existing members will be allowed to renew when their membership expires? Seems unlikely.
The Plus product pages exists but when attempting to purchase it redirects to the new Easy Rewards page.

No, Plus membership is limited to current Plus members. If you cancel your membership, you won't be able to rejoin the Staples Plus program.
Looks like it will be prosperous to recycle inks through October when my Plus membership expires. After that it appears that ink will be limited to 10 inks at 100 points ($0.50) each = $5 month unless there are frequent targeted promotions. If I still have inks in my recycle box then I will stop by and recycle for $5 a month since points don't expire but I won't be purchasing any more used inks for recycling purchases. Seems the Staples rewards program is coming to a quick demise.

And it's on sale for $19.99 here but every time I click Join Now it redirects me to the new Easy rewards program. Does not allow to purchase.

If I was not a member, I think the Plus membership would be well worth the $20 sale price. Somebody should contact CSR and attempt to buy it for the advertised sale price of $19.99.

My second receipt shows I have 8600 points. 8000 would be from the ink recycle. So, 600 for the battery recycle (= $3.00). Says battery recycle on receipt.

Delete spaces in the following:
www . staples . com / stores / recycling
"NEW" marked down there in the batteries section indicates that Alkaline batteries are included, which my store has always denied. This clear page might help.

The online receipt shows 30 cartridges recycles (yes staples somehow offered me 30 for this month).
In the reward dashboard, their computer itemized each cartridge for points. and they only listed 29 cartridges! What a joke.

Happened to me as well. Waiting to see what happens.
Did you already recycle under the old program? I suspect that you did and the system is recognizing that as 1 ink recycled.

I recycled early February under the old program and expect to receive $40 rewards. Then I recycled under the new program with 20 inks and received immediate point credit for 19 inks in the new rewards app.

It has nothing to do with recycling under old program.
Staples ' programmer simply doesn't know how to write a simple loop. They missed 1
