When a digital game is on sale, it's always best to buy it from a retailer vs the eshop. You get more gold coins that way.

Edit- apparently not always! But if it's a newer game, yes- if you want those extra gold coins

You press + while the title is highlighted on the Switch. BUT you only get gold coins for a physical title within a year of its release date. After that, nothing. Digital always earn gold coins.

I enjoy it as an Ace Attorney fan. May be too young for a 7 year old since you are basically solving murders.

Switch sports physical is at same price in eshop . That's gives the leg strap accessory as free . But the catch is free shipping is only after 50$ . So you are forced to buy something else too.

But yes, you can get gold coins from a physical purchase. If I recall there was a pulldown after you insert the game (before launching the game). I'm all digital though so I cannot verify.

Is Ace Attorney any good? I have a 7 year looking for a follow-up to finishing Jenny LeClue

reviews say 13+ so maybe not.

Maybe give the Professor Layton games a try? I'm pretty sure there's at least one for the Switch, and they'd be pretty appropriate but challenging for someone that age.

This is true, but folks who find ways to live in Oregon zip codes pay no sales tax through the eShop.
