I have two of these in two homes: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bell...Id=6507317 A smaller capacity one, but takes much less space on a counter. $30. Works fine. Interface is a bit clunky, you have to cycle through settings to get to the one you want instead of having direct touchscreen access. Overall, great products for the price.

Totally agree... but it's tough to find any basket-style that aren't plastic... and the basket-style is just so ideal for a lot of air frying tasks.

Have you (or anyone?) found any basket-style air fryers that are on the better end of the health spectrum?

If buying an air fryer spend the money. These cheap models smell like burnt plastic forever and taste like it too.

Doesn't affect the taste, and that plastic smell is usually a non-issue if it's kept fairly clean. Too many people don't even bother to clean off oil and other residue splatter.
I use silicone holders in mine, so your food never has to make contact with the plastic either. If you shove your nose right inside the machine then yeah, you're right, you smell hot plastic, because there's, uhh, hot plastic...

The dude that said these smell like plastic forever is correct. I got one of these air fryer from Costco like 6 or 7 years ago for $70 bucks, eversince it and the food it made has been smelling like plastic. Use conventional oven instead, guys.
