Assuming they haven't significantly value analyzed and downgraded the parts over recent years (they look identical), I recommend this fully.

Battery-powered ones unless used constantly won't be worth it because batteries usually weaken after 2-3 years even if not used. Needless to say, parts for air tools are much cheaper and readily available and much easier to use/fix than battery ones. There are other benefits like weight as well, the main benefit of battery one would be portability and convenience on dragging a hose behind bits about it.
I originally received this as part of a combo with a 6 gallon pancake compressor. That size is a good blend of portability and capacity for smaller nailers and staplers.
Not sure about your vinyl flooring plans - I don't typically think about nailing those down. If you're talking about attaching the subfloor, you would probably want a stapler instead of a nailer.
With regards to your planned vinyl flooring project, you would not want to use a Brad nailer to attach underlayment to your subfloor, you would want to use a medium gage crown staple gun to attach the underlayment to subfloor. As for your vinyl flooring, the vinyl flooring would then be glued to your underlayment using the recommended vinyl flooring adhesive. Good luck with your project. Just to add context, I have been a General contractor for 30 years. Happy holiday to all!

When this gun was made by Hatachi, it was the best. But now is crap. I had to rob the magazine off my hatachi to get use out of this gun. The matabo would break every strip of brads I put in it. Then the 2 sections of brads would get side by side and jam. My Hatachi was 15 yrs old when the o rings finally gave out. The metabo lasted less than an hour.
