They are fun packs, which used to be sampler packs. There are 2 commons and a 33% chance for the 3rd card to be a common/uncommon/reverse holo.

You can't pull anything above rare in the fun packs (no EX, Vmax, GX, full art rare, etc.)

If buying this just for the sake of adding value to your collection then I agree with these comments that it's not worth it.

However, if you're in the market to buy gifts for children who are into Pokemon but aren't seasoned collectors I think this at $25 is a bargain. It's an impressively sized and attractive box that looks like an expensive product. It really presents well. You can easily buy other Pokemon gifts which kids will love but are worth nothing in the used market but doesn't mean they're not worth it. For $25 I personally think this an easy recommendation for any child Pokemon fan who isn't an experienced collector with a Pokemon "portfolio".

Again, from the reports here, I wouldn't crack open multiple boxes in hopes of a positive net value, but I wouldn't be surprised if the value of these sealed might rise in the future due to the appeal it has as memorable gifts for young children. Plenty of proud grandparents will gladly pay more than $50 for this to spoil their adorable tiny offsprings.

Got this for $25 plus tax earlier this year using Gamestop pickup at store and power rewards discounts. My son liked it. He was lucky and opened an alternate art illustration rare worth like $15. Overall value it's worth about $25 for next year for the fun. No value pulls from the set it provides.

This advent calendar was pure garbage. For it to have a $50 MSRP is insane. I paid $30 and felt taken. I don't see this being worth anymore than $15. No good pulls at all. We ended up with a very disappointed child every day

I bought it for my kid for next year. He got the Pokemon funko pop one this year that he liked hopefully he will still enjoy this one. I hope it doesn't go cheaper

I bought these for my two kids and paid the full $50 retail each. They are deff not worth $50 each. I would feel comfortable paying $25 and that's pushing it. Way too many 'fun packs' and not enough regular packs. And too many crap promo cards. And all the normal packs were crappy sets like fusion strike and base set S&V.

There is 3rd party seller inventory mixing over at Amazon with this set. Buy it elsewhere, where they don't mix inventory with sketchy sellers unless you want fakes.
