standard fine print. Gift cards purchases always trigger the offer. However, this could be risky as BB will charge the card only when the physical card ships. If it does not ship by tomorrow, no amex offer. Plus, physical GC for pickup may come with risk of already hijacked codes.

On chatting with amex rep they confirmed Any gift cards are not eligible for 25 cb offer. Do not want to risk it trying. Thanks

In my case, recent GC purchase at BB resulted in the AMEX credit. Your mileage may/will vary.

It has been less and less frequent over the years. Usually just get ones like this at a store you actually shop at. It doesn't feel as good as the straight Apple discounted ones but it feels much better than running out and paying full price for something if you are out in between GC deals.
