For a Humbucker alternative to your single coil axe. And matte black body.
Are you seriously comparing this professional level Yamaha guitar with over $200 worth of pickups alone to a $60 eBay POS?
Thanks OP. Great deal.
FYI they also have the Nick Johnston on sale for

Look at it this way: If there's a guitar deal thread for some authentic name brand model for a heafty discount off of the regular retail price but with no comments suggesting some completely different $60 instrument made by Chinese adolescents and that nobody interested in the original instrument would ever be cross-shopping, is it really a guitar deal thread at all?
The elephant in the room is major price differences, even many times different when it comes to guitars then do not somehow magically create better quality, function, styles or even miscellaneous preferences.
And it's actually crazy to seriously assume it does in all cases. You do NOT always get what you pay for and no children have to be abused to create nearly unbelivable low prices. It's fair competition. In a world or mostly broken competition. It's actually the mostly broken so-called free enterprise system that is actually the cause of these wide price differences.$60 is not actually the unusual it's $500 or $5,000 that is the unusual and lacks reason. Else the $60 guitar would be a myth or rare and it's not.
Some may not know that pickups are a matter of preference and large price differences in pickups do not change that.
Also a $60 guitar that I told you about here because eBay deals can't be posted in the deal section can easily change out pickups to whatever your preference. Even including low price or not. But there is zero requirement to replace a low priced pickup with a high price pickup other than preference. AKA it sounds great and needs nothing. You're welcome to disagree and replace them anyway. But the dead horse of $60 guitars are not worth it because you've got to put expensive parts on them is ignorant old news. Never puts expensive parts on anything; to save. Extremely low cost parts of all kind and preference are rarely inferior to high cost guitar parts.
I get it. Some are going to pay more. They do not have to care about value per price. I DO NOT have to care about value per price, thank you.
But I remind you; it is my opinion this is Slick Deals. Price per value is implied. Posting alternatives is encouraged. Not discouraged. No one is forcing you to agree.
I clearly said it's an alternative to single coils. Meaning one could grab this entire Humbucker guitar instead of hacking their single core bridge and losing that classic Strat for super.
And I think the style is cool for $60 guitar. And others do also. It is a great option for $60.
And if this was someones first guitar; usually its best to get a single coil axe first. But anything can be used for different styles once the right pedal/device is used. Sans pedal then different pups have nuances to match guitarist you might wish to cover. If you have one main style then choose pickups by ear. Complicated; by some humbuckers even sound like classic single coils. Some single coils sound humbuckers. Some inbetween. Including some actually are humbuckers and sound and look like single coils.
So even if there could only one type for you, then a ceramic single coil can do all, if with a pedal. And so could a warm, powerful humbucker; but single coil slightly better, if you could not have both.
I do not want to promote guitar farms. Nor Gear Acquisition Syndrome, GAS. But this stealth beauty is my second electric and humbucker option. Instead making switchable pickups or something. I'm not going $60 for necessity. LOL. It compliments my single coil and gives a different style (pure preference) Humbuckers to play.
I do not expect every other guitar player to pick the same. Why would you?
Note I say why! That will mean details. if you think about it; it's the details that can then be verified (BY YOU) that are the only good thing about comments. I'm not affiliated with any seller. And I do not give a rat ass if you like it or not.
Note the $60 guitar shape is closer or nearly identical twin to original Stratocaster types. And that's plural. There is not one Stratocaster type. There are a few matching "classic". Nothing wrong with the Yamaha. It is different. And had earned its reputation. Of course every model and then again every single guitar will vary. Even those that are identical twins of some classic model. But identical twins are not the same person completely, for example.
Car analogies fail here but identical twin people is a good example. Including not identical twins that are twins. For example a Strat like type.
But I'm noting that the necks are very similar and nicely flat, if not identical; until you get to headstock differences. Radius around 13 I think, similar shape, feel, look and maybe even frets.
Even a reputable, name brand guitars can be made in the very same country outside the US; even in the very same factory. As we know; numerous popular and not well known brands do come from the same factory. Anyone can have a guitar production; but most guitars come from a hand full of factories.
The stealth $60 guitar I told you about above is likely much lighter; which is a very good thing to most guitarists. You are of course free to prefer heft. Just as you are free to continue to believe what you want to.

I thank the OP for posting guitars; whether I buy all of them or not.
This is the 600 series. You're thinking of the 100 series. This guitar is on par with a Mexican Fender or PRS SE. On top is superior build quality, it comes with SD pickups.
Locking tuners, graphite saddles, an upgraded nut this is a well equipped guitar. I had to buy one I was toying with the idea of the aerodyne strata but this spoke to me a little more.
Also the color options on the 600s are cooler than 100s. The newlywed stage of a beginner's guitar journey wears off in a month or two. Anything someone can do to prolong that attraction is invaluable.

I'd also add that learning to play on a nice guitar avoids a lot of frustration. I'm sure the 100 series are fine, Yamaha makes good stuff but this step up especially with the tonal options will make the learning experience more enjoyable
The 600 series is much better.
