About the mini-series:
Originally aired as a television mini-series, this all-star filmization of Stephen King's gripping epic of good versus evil chronicles the episodic adventures of a disparate group of people who struggle to reestablish civilization after a man-made catastrophe wipes out most of the world's population. The world abruptly ends when a deadly virus accidentally escapes from a government sponsored biological warfare laboratory. Soon people are dropping like flies from the plague, but a few survive and find themselves strangely compelled to head into the West. Good-hearted people follow the voice of an ancient black woman and head for Boulder, Colorado. Bad people follow the enigmatic Walkin' Dude to Las Vegas. It is only a matter of time before the two sides are forced into a climactic battle over the final fate of humanity.

QA Note: OOS at Amazon, See FP post for another option
One of the better TV mini-series ever made with really solid acting from most of the cast. BOC's "Don't fear the Reaper" made the opening scene amazing.
you are kidding right? The new one on Paramount is an absolute train wreck.

Again, thanks for the heads up! Added youtube free movies to my apps on all my TVs.
Also, thanks to "unami218"
Not wide screen but the quality was fine for free
Supposedly the BD coming in the mail is wide screen?????
I have to google the title with the terms "watch this movie for free" to find all this stuff. I was surprised how many movies spread across the 10-12 apps have what I am wanting to watch. Easter egg hunt BTW!
Black Death is an awesome movie BTW! Free on 4-5 of the apps.
Seems nature is trying to balance out the excess population and we keep short changing it.
You have to get past the first half of the movie to find out where it is going in the plot. It is not another inquisition movie! I always assumed everything that was done in the Middle Ages was wrong (may not be the case)/TBD.
From what I can gather, this blu-ray is the TV version, not the DVD version ("missing" 2 minutes), and is still in the native 1.33:1 full screen format.

Thanks,
Do see older reviews that said it was not wide screen. If it is bad it goes back to target!
Still checking and will know Wed for sure!
Q: Is this standard or widescreen?

50% through it and indeed it is 4x3 format. Quality is outstanding.
I forgot Steven King was an actor in the series.
Anyway, this is actually better than I remembered and so close to COVID scenarios. COVID leaked out of a top-secret Chinese lab that the US was involved in somehow. And at first it killed very fast and slowly mutated. I always wondered why the US (as well as the Chinese) acted so quickly and severely to this virus. I thought they should just let it run its course and people at risk stay isolated as always.
The spy versus spy plot was well done. Mad magazine!
