Gateway drug. I started abusing these when I was about 7 years old. Sounds crazy but I'd use whether I had a cough or not. I'd even fake it sometimes. Sure, not everyone will succumb to the siren's song but you've been warned.

Not too terrible for having corn syrup as one of the main ingredients-

Cannot get addicted if I finish the pack in one sitting. Liquorice-Honey flavor for me though.

If you're looking at these to help with a sore throat look elsewhere. These are essentially just hard candy. If you want something more effective look for something with menthol and/or benzocaine in it. The taste is pretty great though.

They are candy - literally. A gob of corn syrup and sucrose, with a little bit of pectin thrown in as a veneer. I presume this is key to their marketing plan, get parents to buy it cuz they think they are health-positive, and the kids exaggerate their symptoms so they can get candy, thus consuming them quickly and leading parents to buy more, back to square one, and more profit for Ludens
