QUOTE=Mbilo]Dear fewlio,
You have been warned for one of your posts, which violated Slickdeals.net Rules.
=======================================
protip: these are crap, get lumberjack mesh lens protective goggles and a hardhat. I've never had a kickback make a strong move to my face and I often cut with the tip because the cutting is so good there Embarrassment But you experience kickback once or twice your brain becomes mindful of it and you start stopping the movement earlier and earlier from training and reflex.
HOWEVER! Women and fancy boys should in fact get something like this oregon product.
Hello, your post has been removed. Please don't make sexist comments. Thanks
=======================================
so lets see...I should say all women ( which is NOT a sexist word for females) and I should say city folk (fancy boy, dandy, city slicker, yankee doodle riding on a pony with a feather stuck in his hat, these all have the same general meaning), I should tell them *not* to get this hardhat earmuff and face shield chainsaw safety helmet from Oregon? they should just wear steel mesh goggles just the same as lumberjacks / chainsaw operations with many years or even decades of experience? That is the logical conclusion from your comment here. You're saying don't communicate these ideas because *you* say they are sexist. What exactly makes you the authority on what is sexist? Did Biden appoint you to the Department of Anti-sexism or something like that? Do you have an ivy university degree on anti-sexism? Let's see the diploma, can send me a pic of it? I'll take back every word if you truly are a high level authority on such matters. However, I'm going to hazard a guess that the answers to my questions above are no..
if your idea is followed, there is a very high chance that women and city raised novices could get maimed or killed (especially if they are alone and no one is there to stop them from bleeding out from a potential chainsaw injury). 90+ percent of professional lumberjacks and city tree climbers / limb fellers (tree limb removal) are men. 90+ percent of medical nurses are women. Oh whoops did I just say something sexist?? No, I did not, I just stated a fact, those numbers have been been the case for hundreds of years.
Mid to upper end chainsaws are very heavy and very powerful and should never be taken lightly. But I'll take back my words when you present the news story or video where women are working half or more of the lumber cutting workforce and are simultaneously lumberjacking on equal footing with their male peers . Find me the video or news story where women were shot putting, javelin throwing, weight lifting etc etc with results equal to or better than men. I'm not going to put out stupid and dangerous advice simply because it irritates or hurts the feelings of some people on the internet. Operating a chainsaw is not a joke Mr. Super Moderator, it is deadly serious business. So take your 2+2=5 nonsensical and brainwashed mindset somewhere it cannot cause bodily injury to others.
I then said if you're a pro / experienced I wouldn't recommend this type of helmet, but novices should all start out with something like that. if they don't get full facial protection with a special helmet like that, and go cutting having never experienced kickback, or start feeling their oats and decided to try out that 80cc monster chainsaw, those saw could easily produce powerful kickback and bounce right up into their face/neck/shoulder/chest.
oh yeah, and take a look here: https://slickdeals.net/f/17198134-marshall-dsl-1-watt-tube-head-origin-20-watt-el34-head-350-430-ea-zzounds?p=16851
that's just ONE of my many front page deals. I think I've had more frontpage deals than I can count on all my fingers at this point. I'm sure I know quite well what I'm talking about. Ignore my chainsaw advice at your own peril. If you go find a lumberjack forum and ask them about what I said, they will say "yes absolutely fewlio is correct).

the vote was +8 when I posted btw (and it was already FP_
But this is literally THE chainsaw company as the brand(Oregon makes basically every chain on every reputable chainsaw), and it is only available in a limited size?
This doesn't strike me as some kind of paid advertising, as I can't imagine the market is very large for people who didn't just buy this at the dealer who sold them their chainsaw
