Not a deal. Bought this back in July for a dollar less.
Not a bad helmet though.

Yet it still makes FP with only barely any upvotes either. FP used to mean something ... now it's just basically advertising SD gives in exchange for click-through commissions.

Medium is all you need. If your head is bigger it can handle the hit if smaller the tree will miss it.

Works great for big family gatherings where politics and religion are discussed.

In reality, it's been a good product for chainsaw use and weed trimming. I would buy again at this price.

Obviously this is only designed to protect from the cutting debris. If the tree falls on you, even with the best helmet ever, Flying Spaghetti Monster help you.

I use it when my wife is cooking.

It has held up well.

Amazon
$22.49 (Jun 18, 2017) lowest
$43.19 (May 22, 2023)
$29.99 (Dec 27, 2023)
$37.53 average

Guess it's not a terrible price if you are in the market. I'll hold off
What are you holding off on? A deal on a time traveling machine?

I've had a similar product on wishlist for 3 years and never pulled trigger. Seeing this price based solely comp, not a deal.

If this was some Chinese garbage from a non-existent brand, then I'd agree

But this is literally THE chainsaw company as the brand(Oregon makes basically every chain on every reputable chainsaw), and it is only available in a limited size?
This doesn't strike me as some kind of paid advertising, as I can't imagine the market is very large for people who didn't just buy this at the dealer who sold them their chainsaw
They're adjustable. I can't fit in most "one size fits all" hats but I still have to crank down the adjuster a bit. Most of the helmets I've glanced at on Amazon are listed "Medium".

Is this good or too heavy if I just need to use regular miter or circular saw? A bit cumbersome to put on separate mask and earmuffs each time.

At $28, he'll be safe. At $30 he'll chance it and run his chainsaw without eye, ear, or head protection. Gotta take a stand on price 😂

I bought mine for chainsaw use but I have used it for other things. For miter, circular, or table saw use I just go with the safety glasses I always have close at hand and don't wear ear plugs unless I'm making more than a few cuts. I've developed decent safety habits so it's second nature and never feels cumbersome Those saws don't throw a lot of chips or anything though. The face shield would be nice for lathe use I suppose.

The site is nothing compared to what it used to be. It's basically a marketing machine now versus a community driven place to find price mistakes rare unusual sales, etc..
