Just picked up Oliva Serie V 135th Anniversary Perfecto (Box/12) for $79.00. Last December they were going for $65.00 - but have not seen them that cheap in over a year. Easily the best Cigar I've had.
Different smokes for different folks. While some cigars are considered top shelf, there won't be a typical consensus as to what an individual will find enjoyable.
If it's for yourself and you don't know what you like, I would suggest you might appreciate a sampler like this atThompson[thompsoncigar.com]
Drew Estates is a solid choice for decent cigars and the sampler has a bit of a range of wrappers/smokes. Thompson always has discount codes available. Try "Delicious" and TCPS2137 There is also a welcome code and an email sign up code and free shipping is often offered as a pop-up if you leave the page and come back or even wave your mouse around the address bar as if ready to leave the page. I can almost always manage 30% and free shipping. Some coupons will stack so always try and add as many as you can find.
If you are looking for someone else, it would help to know if they are a smoker or just fire up occasionally. The subject of the OP is a well regarded smoke, but that doesn't mean everyone likes it. If a gift you just do your best. What else can you do ??
Thank you! I am becoming a daily smoker pretty much. Every time I go to the store I pick up something else, this way is more fun. If I only kept track what I'm smoking lol. But something what blew my mind lately was Tabernacle Havana Seed CT No.142. This is my kind of a cigar.
Humidor with boveda packs. If you don't feel like spending money on a humidor, you can use a Tupperware container with cedar strips and a boveda pouch too.
