Keep in mind that their "extra trade credit" usually comes with a lower base trade value that offsets the increased credit. For example, last time the Series S had a trade value of around $190 that dropped to something like $130+$50 extra when the promo went live, so you actually lost value with the extra credit compared to the day before.

Damn that's a lot to read for a slick deal post that has nothing to do with trade in credit.

So many questions. So you bought both consoles, why? And why would you opt to keep the S if you have the X, which is graphically superiorand has more internal storage?

Sell your old consoles on the fb marketplace.. gamestop is only still in business bc it's a meme stock lol. GameStop has been one of the worst stores ever imo honestly lol..
That makes perfect sense... other than GameStop has been in business WELL before becoming a meme stock. So try again.

Your logic doesn't make sense. You intend to keep the Series S forever? Why not return the S and keep the X? If you're keeping it forever, the value is irrelevant. Why not go with the one that has better performance, more storage, and a disk drive?
Oh I'm sure the Series S will last a long time. I don't doubt it. Same thing for the X.

Given my previously addressed use case which isn't a hard concept to understand, I simply don't see the point of me spending extra $160 for the best and the latest that would render me the same experience.

Like I said before, I'm not a hardcore gamer and that's OK. Casual and hardcore gamers coexist.

I have learned this realization of me
Being a casual gamer AFTER buying the Series X for $300 here, thus intending to return. Why spend more when I don't have to?? If the Series S $140 deal didn't happen secondly, I would had have kept the Series X, without question. Not my fault if Walmart made that price mistake for me to score.

Objectively, $140 for the Series S was a GREAT deal (everyone who say it is not is utterly lying) and at the near rock bottom of the depreciation curve. Granted that deprecation curve concept isn't the selling point for me to buy but at the same time the regular price of the Series S is $300, regularly $250….just to enjoy gaming current and past gen titles.

Yup xbox series X was $275 previously now its $231 + $50 "extra" for a whopping $6 more.
To be fair the Series X had been discounted to $350 for almost a month now so it makes sense for the trade in value to reflect that.

Wish I didn't sleep on the series s deals that were at 150 to buy. Would love to snag one before someone trading one in 😜

assuming the 20% extra is already reflected on the website when i search for trade values? for example Mario Wonder fetches around $38.50 or so on trade in - assuming that is WITH the 20%?

ITT people waxing poetic for the sake of hearing their own voice in their head. Spaceman, record a podcast instead so that we all can avoid it and you can hear yourself talk as much as you want.

A gamestop extra credit post including "all consoles" but here we go again more xbox bashing. I am starting to believe this sony defense force formed from long ago near the end of the ps3 bad old days are back at it again ever since game pass emerged.πŸ˜‚
Xbox is a joke.

The gamestop trade in values are decent for the convience they provide. You can also add almost another 10% to their offer. When you buy things with credit they dont charge you tax.

Get rid of shit you don't need asap without having to deal with a random stranger. Half the people on these "marketplace" things lowball offer you worse than gamestop.

People want like 90cent on the dollar for their used stuff, smh.

Base on how many thumbs down I get…or downvotes, it an imply that they rather not listen to me talking to a crowd like a YouTuber so idk. Thank you for looking out for me though. Happy New Year mate!

True but folks just want the most $ in return at the expense of risk and I don't blame them. being street smart is all it takes.
