Keep in mind that their "extra trade credit" usually comes with a lower base trade value that offsets the increased credit. For example, last time the Series S had a trade value of around $190 that dropped to something like $130+$50 extra when the promo went live, so you actually lost value with the extra credit compared to the day before.

So many questions. So you bought both consoles, why? And why would you opt to keep the S if you have the X, which is graphically superiorand has more internal storage?

Surprisingly mine are all the same and I was about to get rid of my switch since it's on the way out the door

Anyone have a better place to sell and Xbox One X? Only getting $88 at Gamestop which isnt bad, but Decluttr is even lower. Might just take the Gamestop deal.

Being a casual gamer AFTER buying the Series X for $300 here, thus intending to return. Why spend more when I don't have to?? If the Series S $140 deal didn't happen secondly, I would had have kept the Series X, without question. Not my fault if Walmart made that price mistake for me to score.

Objectively, $140 for the Series S was a GREAT deal (everyone who say it is not is utterly lying) and at the near rock bottom of the depreciation curve. Granted that deprecation curve concept isn't the selling point for me to buy but at the same time the regular price of the Series S is $300, regularly $250….just to enjoy gaming current and past gen titles.
Even if you have a 1080p60 monitor, you will be getting a much more improved gaming experience on the Series X today. There's a large amount of games running on the Series S that do not run at close to 1080p internally nor support 60fps. Tomorrow is going to be even worse. The value of the X will definitely hold a lot higher than the S.

The Series S is also great for portability and form factor which are other selling points. I have seen others having both Series S and X.

Im not sure who is the intended audience for the One X in 2024. It partly a better console than the Series S but then the opposite is true as well for other specs.
