My wife gifted me a 6th gen 12.9 256 pro and I can't justify what she paid. She's cool, so I mentioned that an M1 would be just as good if not better for my use as I don't do artistic things for work, mostly construction drawing edits on illustrator. I'm torn in returning it but I think it would be a good decision overall.
This might be a decent upgrade for my old 2019(?) iPad 12 Pro and also solve my need to get a device to use with the hotspot plan.
No need for more storage as the 12.9 is usually just for browsing and streaming movies when traveling.

Wi-Fi is everywhere mostly and hot spot from an IPhone is so easy, cellular isn't really needed. It's more a luxury for people who don't mind paying for a plan and not wanting to deal with WiFi or using their phone as a hotspot.
