Since it's Costco I've ordered one at the new price and will return the old one.

I looked at their jewelry return policy and I think they will take it back once they've verified it with one of their graduate gemologists.

Why? They can easily put it back in the shelf and sell it. Diamond doesn't scratch or degrade. Most of the time metal isn't worth much anyway.

I'm not saying you should but if you can return one in order to buy something bigger and more expensive, that's fine. Otherwise I agree, returning because price went down on something you agreed and wore, especially jewelery is not good idea. They should offer upgrade program though. If you buy a diamond, at least let members upgrade if they agree to buy something at least x amount higher.

Why not, you think every ring you buy is brand new? Did you even read rest of my post.

If it's not allowed they can put a policy just like electronics with screens that has 90 day return policy.

This is 2.0 Caret total weight spread over 25 diamonds. Assuming they are the same size, 0.08ct each. Costco's diamond policy of 1.00ct only applies to the 'center' stone.

Plus, I highly doubt you'll get a certificate with this.

Platinum and Palladium are the hard to find metals so usually cost moreā€¦ to me this is what makes this deal a slick deal
