"Paramount whips Raiders of the Lost Ark into 4K shape with a terrific 2160p/Dolby Vision graded UHD presentation. This is one of the more radical alterations between UHD and Blu-ray one will find"

Apparently it is for this one.

Yes but only by buying the movies individually can we the consumers say that there are really only three Indy films.

Yes, the older movies shot on film tend to get the most benefit from being put on 4k bluray.

Alternatively, for those interested in just streaming rights, Vudu.com has the Indy 4-movie digital 4K set on sale for $29.99. Raiders of the lost Ark is $7.99 only (digital 4K version).

Best to get it from Best Buy if you want it before at least February. Amazon is saying that it ships within 1 to 2 months, and tells me that with Prime Shipping expected delivery is Jan 22-Feb 12.

It depends on several factors, but in general yes. The most common film format for major movie productions in the 1980s was 35mm, which has a digital equivalent resolution of ~5-6k. However, the more impactful enhancement going from blu-ray to 4k is (IMO) high dynamic range (HDR) color grading. Of course for that you need a TV that supports HDR.

That's $58/3 = $19.3 per film.
