Plan on getting the S24 Ultra comes out. Lots of new features over the S23 and will be the same price.

It looks like the US "Reservation Gift" cannot be used towards the phone either: "The Gift cannot be applied to the pre-ordered device(s) and must be used at the time of pre-order purchase towards purchasing additional eligible products on Samsung.com, or in the Shop Samsung App."

I'm curious how those people will be able to upgrade again this year if they are locked into bill credits. Typically I only pay a couple hundred dollars and I'm able to get the newest phone every year. But this bill credit thing seems to put a stop to it. I prefer to own my phone's out right so I don't owe anybody anything if I want to leave or if I break it.
I want to switch to AT&T's firstnet plan, but you can't use the unlocked phones on that. It has to be an AT&T phone. I'm guessing to get the AT&T version I'll have to sign up for bill credits. I know to AT&T has an annual upgrade plan you can buy, but I did the math last year and it is a total rip off.
