Crappy thermostat on them. I own two. Comes on an off whenever it thinks it's the right temp and it's wrong.

Can't recommend this item

Every electric space heater no matter the size is limited to 1500w. The joke on most people is that a 8 inch 1500w space heater puts out the very same heat as a 8 foot 1500w space heater. People only think the larger ones heat better... they do not. Now some might "distribute" the heat better via fans but 1500w put out 1500w worth of heat no matter the size.

Is this the one that can be linked to Govee thermometers? Those are pretty accurate and would help out with the inaccurate thermostat.

We use this in my daughter's room during the winter because we like the house cool but need to keep her toasty. Being able to set it on a schedule and to a specific temp has been quite nice. The app is pretty decent. It's a good buy at this price and I'll be snagging a second.

I had a cheap walmart heater, and I got one of the non-oscillating ones. This was much quieter/better to use than walmart for only $5-15 more, with smart features.

There's been observations that the temp sensor can be off. It does allow you to set an offset in the app, if you have this issue.

Overall, I'm really happy with it due to mostly how quiet it is. I do wish you could adjust temp without the app, it seems like you can only set it to power 1, 2, 3, or automatic (set in app). That said, it's nice to have a specific temp as the walmart one you're adjust a dial and hoping you're at the right temp.
Offset does not work because if you want 75 and set it to 80, than it works until 83-84 which is too hot. Thermostat is not consistant, it is not about offset.

Correct, resistive electrical heater are all 100% efficient. Heck you can put 10 150W light bulb and get the same heat out.

Really, anything over !500w would probably close to trip a breaker in a typically house circuit (except kitchen counter circuit which are typically 20A)

The benefit of this is the heater itself being a smart heater. Before I would have to put a smart plug to my heater (which I know is a big no-no) but I tend to forget to turn them off when I leave the house. So with these if you forget, you can do it via the app.

Thanks. In for 1 white.

White looks a bit better in the YouTube review videos than black.

Can vouch for this, I have two heaters synced up to their own Govee thermostat and it works great
Agreed - they sync and work great with these.

BTW what is really nice with these is if you hook it up to Alexa you can say "Alexa, turn on the space heater for 30 minutes" and it will auto shut off. I used to turn these on and forget and the darn thing would run all night. I love that I can give it a set time and it will shut off.

It also has two lower settings in case you have an issue with the 1500w blowing fuses on shared electric lines. Most cheat space heaters (and even many expensive ones) only support the one 1500w heat level.

For $10 it was a great deal, thermostat seems to respond more to device temp rather than environment, not sure I would recommend for $30 as it is a very small unit.

I see that the cheaper thermometers are bluetooth - can the heater act as a wifi gateway for the bluetooth thermometer to report the current temp as shown by the bluetooth thermometer? Otherwise, I'll have to go up to the wifi/bluetooth one in order to be able to see current temp as well as set temp on the heater.... Thanks!

I am not sure why my reply is down voted. the link (https://us.govee.com/products/gov...8308554937). I posted above is the same device as listed in the slickdeals thread. Bluetooth will work, and the price buying directly from govee is good.
