The worst part of all these new MacBook is the SSD is soldered onto the motherboard along with RAM.

macOS Sonoma (2023) dropped support for almost all Macs released in 2017. (Except the 2017 iMac Pro).
Apple will probably discontinue major OS updates for this 2023 MacBook around 2029. Some hope that Apple will support Macs longer now that they are all Apple Silicon, but that has not been true for iOS.

Right now it's 6 years. One would expect more years after the m1 transition, but 10 might be wishful thinking.
