Comes with a free game too. Not sure if this is a result of 4070 ti super coming out this month.

I don't think so. Demand for these has been high due to the restrictions with China on the 4090 which has driven the prices up.

It seems more likely that either demand is falling leading to price drops on these or this is some kind of short-term pricing strangeness with Amazon.

One more minor thing to be aware of is that one of this cards three DP ports is only DP 1.4.

Probably not an issue for most people but something to be aware of.

What is the short summary of the concern there?

For my uses, I'm likely looking at one monitor for 4K gaming, maybe one additional 4K monitor for auxiliary applications.

I appreciate you !

The card has:
DisplayPort 2.1: 2x
DisplayPort 1.4: 1x
HDMI™ 2.1: 1x

So you should be more than fine for your use case. Dalto's point is an edge case for those who need that 3rd DP port.

If you want to 3 monitors all at high resolution and refresh rate.

It isn't really a concern for most gaming use cases because this card wouldn't be capable of delivering high frame rates to 3x high resolution monitors at the same time anyway.

To be honest, there aren't all that many DP 2.1 displays on the market yet so it is mostly future looking. I only mentioned it because some of the other 7900 XTX cards have 3x DP 2.1 ports.

It is definitely faster but I am not sure if it is worth it. Probably depends what games you play and what resolutions/quality settings.

You lose DLSS and gain increased rasteriization performance. I would definitely purchase this over a 3080 but I don't think I would jump on an upgrade personally. I would wait unless you are hurting for performance.

I have a 3080 10gb hybrid and the performance is fine for the majority of the games I play however I plan to get a 4k monitor soon so I know the 3080 won't perform that well with 4k. Especially with only 10gb vram.

Crazy to think this goes toe to toe with a rtx4090 in most games if you live without ray tracing. Id snatch this up in a heartbeat if I wasn't a sucker for Nvidia.

I was about to write the same thing. This is probably the best avenue for an upgrade to a 3080 if you want one right now and don't want to spend 4090 prices. It would be a modest upgrade, but personally I'd wait for the next gen versions
