Great deal. I built the whole set and added to cart. Bought then saw they dropped the price in the entire set. Available immediately via third party seller

You don't like the all in one version? The one like a Swiss Army knife. Klein has one and Milwaukee just came out with the same thing. It might honestly be the same tool just red instead of orange. Feel like these take up so much space when compared. What's the big advantage with these?

all in one are awful. limited reach, poor affordance, lackluster leverage and clunky. t-handles are amazing. the folding keys are sometimes okay, if that's all you have, but they are very limited in usage.

These (complete set with stand) are my go-to ball-end set for working on my bikes.

No complaints, would buy again.

I also have a Wera L shape set in my travel tool kit for volume purposes, but the T-handles are much preferable to use if within reach

Is it worth the extra buck or two per t handle to get the ball-end version (Intended use is primarily bike maintenance)? I also am on the fence about buying the whole set vs just getting the commonly used sizes (3,4,5,6, maybe 8). 1. Is the holder worth it for a shop? 2. Do you need the extra grip for the small ones or is it a quality of life thing?

No, this is the version I picked up.
Klein Tools JTH68M T-Handle Hex Key Set, Metric Sizes Allen Wrench Set with 6-Inch Blades, Stand Included, 8-Piece https://a.co/d/1Oosuuv
When I checked it was $56. Then I added each individually to the cart and ordered. Then I noticed the 8-piece set down to $40 so in ordered that and cancelled my individual orders. Not all of them individually are $4 so the set comes out slightly cheaper. Also less of a hassle juggling through 6in 9 in lengths and the ball heads

A lot of bad reviews talking about this tool stripping down in basic tasks.

The videos I watch for brake adjustment recommend long handle.ball T styles. I asked for it for Christmas, but didn't get it, where are you seeing the ball for a dollar more?

Jth6m5be is the product name for the ball-end version. J:?; th:T-handle; 6:6"; m:metric; 5:5mm head size; be:ball-end. They have the ball ends at home Depot as well.. the 5mm being cheaper there for sure.

I build and tune bikes all day with Parker T-tools at a shop (I might want some of my own for home). The fat all-in-one versions that are like multitools give you many sizes, but the tools don't lock in place and I find it awkward to hold the tool out and the body in place. They're "in a pinch" tools, but they would get annoying to try to use them constantly.

With a T-tool like this, it's much easier to apply torque for a nice tight screw (or unscrew something stuck), and the rod is longer so you can reach down into things.

I didn't "get" the ball ends at first; now I've come to realize they're nice when stuff prevents you from lining up the tool perfectly straight with the screw. But when you want something screwed really tight (like the handlebar stem on a bike), it's best to use the straight, short end of the T so that you get extra leverage pushing on the long rod.
