I have a 59 less Paul.
Threw it in the garbage after I played this thing.

Depending how tall and long of your arms are, I might be too challenging.

I have this and Mike McCready's '60 Strat (not a replica or reissue but ACTUALLY Mike's strat) and I find myself picking this one up every time. Easily better than guitars costing 10,000x as much.

I have the Tele equivalent and it's not crazy heavy. Def a thick neck. More of a "C" profile. Plays much better than a guitar at this price should!

Thank you, repped. The ad pic looks like a regular modern C neck most like. 9.5 radius I think on this one. I thought it was the more weight and beak (I'd sand off)

But HSS for $68. Decide quick. Nice colors.

iT'S the DLX ones that tend to be heavy. The classic ones are less heavy; but it would be nice to have some reports on actual weight.

MP prices are getting good again.

These are surprisingly good. It's a low entry point cost wise. Just get a proper setup and some new strings

They are an excellent value, but leave a bit to be desired by the experienced player. Fret ends are sharp-ish. Electronic are decent. Good beginner guitar

I'm on the fence between this and a Fender American Ultra Stratocaster at regular retail price. Hmm.

Would this pair well with a Monoprice tube amp and a Cube Baby effects pedal?

The Fender American Ultra Strat can't hold a candle to the Monoprice. I would jump on this now for $69 and if you don't like it you'll probably be able to trade it to Guitar Center for $2,000 easy.
