As of right now Gold is at $2,043.70 oz. I encourage you to continue your own research when purchasing as an investment.

Would be nice to receive a Costco Kirkland brand 1oz at $1,500 oz. 🤣🤣

Everyone buying high-value items should do their research first. And anyone researching it realizes that spot price is basically a wholesale price based on the price per ounce of a 100 oz bar, not individually packaged 1 oz bars. Such bars are almost always sold over spot price at any reputable dealer. It's rare to find them sold this close to spot, which is why these deals usually see such high demand.

Absolutely. Thanks for adding more context.

FYI just had a great experience selling my bar to JM Bullion. Process was all done online. Money was in my bank account two days after delivery (I took the risk of not insuring the shipment as I used FedEx Express Shipping and they are extremely reliable. Only cost me like $15 shipping.) Bought at $1990 and they gave me 1% under spot if my math is right so I made a little money plus a good bunch of cashback.

Out of curiosity, have you checked what places near you are paying from the list of local shops? Are you in an area where they're offering kind of low or a rural area where there just aren't many dealers around or something? I'm not one to really shy away from risk at times, but man sending these uninsured would seem rather nerve-racking.
