I am big into DIY audio so I'm trying to avoid comparing this to some of my other stereo setups.
The highs on the sound bar aren't as tinny as some reviewers made it seem. The mids are a little underwhelming. The sub sounds pretty good and the rears are a must in my opinion. They pick up the slack in the midrange.
A few notes. The rears added themselves instantly. You might need to close the app and open it back up to see them in the settings. In device settings you will see channel level. I set the sound bar to 2 and the rears to 6. I might end up tweaking that but you could absolutely tell they were there.
Also, if you do a positional test on YouTube, the sub doesn't chime in. I'm guessing it plays from any of the 5 channels but it won't test independently.
It's a pretty great setup for less that what I paid for 2 horns for some DIY speakers 🤣
Did I mention the rears are a must?!
Standard:
Treble: -3
Bass: 0
Woofer: +3
Front Top Channel: +6
SpaceFit Sound: On
Honestly, I'm not sure if I prefer these settings or using the Adaptive preset. I'd love to hear what some of you other peoples' settings are as I'm not quite an audiophile.

Once its connected it works until I turn off the tv then I have to reconnect manually when I turn on the tv.
Anyone know a work around to this? Unpair all together and repair?

Lack of optical in on this deal only made my situation worse. In other words now I have two soundbars that don't work over ARC. SO may return buydig but wondering what that would cost in return shipping, anyone??

A little inconvenient but it's better than buying a new tv. Also, I know the feeling of wanting to jump on a deal but make sure you always do your research. Even if this had optical, it would hinder the Atmos functionality.
IMO, you should go with the extractor route. You'll probably spend $40-50 sending this back

That's ridiculous, but it's worth a try. If that works for you, you could keep the TV on a smart plug and setup a macro/voice command for an easier way to power cycle it each time.
Just trying to help, have a great day

UPDATE, the power cycle on the SONY OLED was successful, the ARC is working on the SB now. Thanks for the help.
