ASRock (via Amazon) has the ASRock Z690M PG Riptide/D5 [amazon.com]. It uses DDR5 and seems like a good choice if you don't need more than one PCIe slot. Most other Z690 or Z790 boards that use DDR5 are $40 extra.

I don't advise the ASRock Z690 PG4/D5 since it has locked power limits.

Really a great bang for the buck for 4k gaming. I have owned this one for a little over two years now, paired with a 4080FE. no complaints and can't see any reason to upgrade at this point.

Good deal if you don't mind the high power usage of this chip. I wanted something silent, so I went with the 65 watt 5700x.

Can't see the mouse on CPU page nor CPU on mouse page for combo.
Edit nevermind, works from the mouse page, good deal!

I edited the original post with a screenshot. Let me know if that helps with the deal.

Depends on which Micro Center deals you're referring to.

MC usually has very good deals on CPU, mother board, and/or RAM combos.

Uhhhh yeahhh…..the rest of the desktop 🤣.
Graphics Card
Motherboard
Ram
Case
Power supply
Hard drive, preferably nvme
Keyboard

It would help ppl if you tell them your use for the desktop, like what are your expectations as to what the desktop will be able to do. Then more experts can provide more specific recommendations, but then you're also gonna start a virtual fight up in here.
