Got this exact same spec for 600 a few weeks back.

The processor is VERY fast plugged in, but it's extremely power hungry. You need to nerf the CPU heavily to get +6 hours on battery.

Look at it in person as one of the major complaints is the touch screen digitizer making a grain/screen-door affect. I got used to it.

You either got it open-box or mistakenly wrote $600 as the lowest it has gone for 'new' was $700.

I have this, it's a solid laptop.
Display: fantastic colors & brightness but yes there is a slight graininess to the display on white or off white background due to the touch digitizer. You get used to it.
Hinge appears to be solid. You can use a pen and there's minimal screen wobble.
Speakers - great when laptop is on a table or flat surface that can reflect the sound off from. If not on a flat surface, sound is muffled, muddied, & lacks treble. This is one of the most annoying things about this laptop.
Fans - on whisper mode, it's barely noticeable. On standard, sometimes. I wouldn't recommend performance mode.
Battery - it's so - so, on whisper/low performance mode.
Keyboard - it's a nice typing experience.
Overall build quality is solid. The edges could be softer.

Any thoughts on the i5-13500H 8GB (non upgradeable) variant? Is 8GB enough for Windows, coding, and some light gaming with the integrated graphics?

Was that 600 new? Also does it have a solid sturdy Hinge?

It's a solid choice. I got a Open Box - Excellent for $400 in September for gifting and liked what I saw. Didn't come with MS Office, but otherwise looked good. As things go with Windows, 8GB should be good for a while until "something" happens and the laptop starts slowing down for no apparent reason.

That's a lot of CPU to be stuck with 16GB forever.

I mean, sure, 13700H is cool, but it's well enough RAM for most everything. It's really not a gaming system, there's not even a dGPU. Of course, you could always play on the iGPU, and of course 32GB RAM is always cooler, but I think for pretty much anything you'd do on a laptop, short of running two VMs at the same time, 16 is sufficient.

It's funny, this model laptop gets a lot of hate for the screen door effect (barely noticeable, literally have to be about 5" away to notice). But I got the Lenovo Yoga 9i and it's got the exact screen door effect.

Is it just all OLED touch LAPTOPS that have this? Tablets don't even though it's oled
