Is this the one with the OLED screen that people complain about blurriness of text on white background?

I'm using this laptop right now and do not have that problem. No problems when hooked up to a monitor either. I got it for this price the last time it was on "sale" and I think it's been meeting my needs. Zippy.

I guess some people are sensitive to it and some are not. It has definitely been reported on this laptop and the zenbook 14 oled.

Our Vivobook Pro OLED has perfectly sharp text but no touch screen.

I heard it was an issue with the touchscreen layer on some oled. I have never seen it myself I have only used oled phones and tablets, not laptops.

Is that an issue with the manufacturing process that causes the bluriness? I have an OLED laptop from another manufacture which doesn't have that issue.

I really don't know. It was brought up in previous threads, but I think some people can see it and some people don't. I think the best thing is to not go looking for it.

Not sure about "blurriness" but people complain about the "screen door" effect. It's not noticeable unless you go right up to the screen 5inches from your face with bright green/white background.

My Lenovo 9i has this effect also so I don't think it's Asus specific, just oled touchscreen laptops?

My only issue with the 14X is coming from IPS, I'm not used to the reflections and feeling pressured to constantly use dark mode on everything to prevent burn-in. It's really unfortunate there is no IPS matte version of this laptop because that's the only thing stopping it from being perfect at least for me. Or maybe I will just get used to it. I've heard there are matte finishes you can stick to it but I have no experience with them or know how well they work.

This is however speaking for long-day office work use. Ideal though for the casual user who will mostly be using it for games and multimedia.

Guys I'm looking for a laptop for school and work, is this it? For the price the processor is supposed to be great, what everyone getting for battery life in normal mode not, super low brightness and power saving mode?

I was also considering a MacBook Air but the one that should be the base model is 1400$ which is double this computer. Any other computers I should check out?

How's the battery life on this? I have a 12th Gen OLED and fans crank up fast and doesn't last very long.

I have this laptop and it's fantastic.

The screendoor effect is present on the panel, but it's hugely blown out of proportion. I mean I can see it if I get uncomfortably close to the screen. Normal use it's a complete non-issue.

How long is this deal for? Do you think the price would come down some more similar to the $569 deal in early January this year?
