Just so everyone is clear, "bi-metal" refers to the construction of the hole saws, not that these are suitable to cut through metal. Commonly misunderstood.

MSRP is ludicrous.

These work well on sheet metal, probably thinner gauge, just don't run your drill at maximum speed. Using cutting fluid or 3in1 oil also helps and the smoke will let you know if things get too hot. Same as wood if you heat these up too much they dull much more quickly.

Thank you, O. P. In for one. Better deal than many of the sets you tend to see. Of course the $xxx value give a better perception than it might really be, this is a nice value. This will also be the first I've gotten thats made to fit inside a packout organizer, so anxious to see how that works for me.

I bought these on clearance at Home Depot for around $20 last year. Not a bad price since the larger saws in the set are around $10 each bought separately.

Hard to get a set like this once you started using a carbide saw. I got one blade for a project to drill holes for desk grommets, and it put to shame my set like this. But I only have the 2" saw and not a set. Frown

Exactly. But as fast it cuts through and not having to worry about hitting any nails or staples, and less of a burnt wood smell...

But yes, if you "need" a set for a general DIY home application, this set will be perfect. Until you see your first spark from hitting something metal.

They had this a couple years ago for $35 but it included a packout case. I guess they have eliminated that from the deal now.

Well, currently the 19 piece carbide Hole-dozer set is $328, so "about" $300 more for the carbide (and 9 more" pieces" in the set). 😇😂
