Have both sizes and 12 is nice too, especially with the hollow core so I can stick my hand in it and manually roll forward/back while my weight is on it

If they are still in-stock, should be this price. I just got one yesterday at Aldi for this price.
should be gone by now unless you found unicorn. these were for before xmas i think. hows the quality? how does it work? just roll your back/tummy on it?

Yeah, these are on clearance, thus the low price. As far as how to use a roller, watch a Youtube video. Basically, yes, roll back and forth on sore/tight areas.

Never knew that Aldi carried foam rollers.
Anyways, the are plenty of the same kind on Amazon for around the same price. This isn't the unbeatable FP deal that it seems to be.
No idea what you are seeing. I don't see any comparable rollers on Amazon for this price. And Aldi doesn't sell foam rollers as a regular item. This is an example of seasonal/themed merchandise that they happen to have at the moment. Aldi has sold things like cameras, computers, furniture, storage items, clothing, etc. from time to time and once a particular hard-good items is gone, it's gone

I picked up the green one which is actually "EVA" material and is heavier and seems more durable. I kinda wish I picked up one the foam ones though because they seem softer and less harsh. The grooves on this EVA one are actually painful and ended up leaving bruises on my back... They weren't kidding when they said torture device lol
Foam softens overtime. Highly recommend getting a 4" PVC pipe
That's what is good about this style. It is a pvc pipe covered with a more comfortable, rubberized foam that has some cushioning. These are way better than the all-foam kind that are just dense styrofoam that dent and distort and disintegrate over time.

Adv of these is the portability, I carry one in my gym bag and use it after a workout in the gym itself. Since it's hollow I stuff my gym towel etc inside of it saving even more space
This. I keep the 30" at home and this in the gym bag for after workouts
Imagine a small 80lb Thai girl giving you a massage.
Now imagine a 250lb man giving you a massage.
Your weight on the roller is how hard the massage is.
Can't you lift up with your arms and trunk to roll your legs? I see other runners using these quite often at the gym and I've been curious. I don't mind sharing the track but can't quite get myself to use the shared rollers. Does this improve running recovery?
At this price I'll probably bite and if I'm too heavy, not much wasted.
Same at Daiso, I was about to pick one up yesterday, but honestly, 12" is too small, you need atleast 24" inch if you're wanting to work on your upper back/shoulders. 12" is fine for legs and arms.
