I prefer other materials too in general for clothes but in the case of staying warm and trapping heat, polyester is pretty effective. There's a reason "heatgear" type of clothes are 100% polyester. Even the US Army's thermal underwear is 100% polypropylene - it's a VERY warm and heat trapping material, not to mention hydrophobic which is preferable in snow/rain.

Also, a few of the reviews says it runs big and the model (who is 6 ft 2") is wearing a medium and it looks like it fits him perfectly.

Edit: You will get free shipping even though it's not $50 because they calculate Free Shipping on the pre-discounted price.

Double edit: I just got mine. I am usually a medium and ordered a medium. I'm glad I ordered my correct size because the length of the sleeves and jacket is correct. I think the reason people are saying to size down is because the overall fit of the jacket around the chest and shoulders is a little baggy but I don't regret getting a medium because the arm length and jacket length is perfect.

If their sizes weren't so unpredictable i'd get this. I have 8 pairs of BR pants, i got 4 of them online, and I can only wear 1 of the pairs I got online.

I have pant sizes that fit me the same from a 35 to 40 waist.
And some XL shirts that are way too tight and some XXL shirts too big. So... buyer beware, I only buy at stores now....

I have this jacket from previous season in navy and in vicuna. The vicuña is a nice color. Nice warm jacket with thick durable materials but not heavy at all. What I don't like about it are the arm pocket zipper is horizontal instead of vertical making it hard to zip and reach in to get stuff,, and the front zipper could be smoother. $32 is a great price for it. I think I paid like $42 or $47.
