spirit II e-310 is not a smart grill as this one is. This has a digital display on right shelf versus a analog thermometer in the door. This one connects to Weber app and can see temp, set alerts, see smart probe temps etc. the spirit II e310 has open design as you mentioned, one of the tables folds (this one both are fixed). The spirit II has a 10 year warranty on everything, this is 10 years on some stuff, 5 on grates, 2 on everything else.
I was planning on buying the Spirit II e310 but then got this grill 2 weeks ago because it was on clearance at Lowe's for $346 and I'm glad I did. I'm using the app way more than I expected. Nice to see when my food is at internal temp from inside the house when it's freezing out!

Wow. How did you find it in Lowe's? Great deal. I had e310. But family grew. I think I need bigger grill.
I'm looking for the NG model. 3 separate warehouses didn't have the NG model, and had no info about ever getting it. Bummer.
I picked one up from the local Costco $499.99 + tax. Awesome deal!
My old cheap Lowes knockoff grill rusted and gave up. Was looking for a replacement and happened to see this great deal. Thank you both!
If you search for Weber Spirt EX-315 at costco-direct (costco.com), it would be listed as $609. But try look at your local costco store. The local costco here in Oregon has this same unit on sale for $499 ($550-$50 sale) and there are still plenty units available. I do not know if the other stores would have a similar deal; but doesn't hurt to check prior to buying online.
