To clarify, the original Neo Geo controller was an arcade stick. The controller this is based on was the gamepad that came with the Neo Geo CD, which came 4 years later (and flopped badly).

reviews seem bad. i'm gonna file this under dont let slickdeals waste my money, even if i tell myself it's only a little Smilie

also the whole idea., a retro controller with a single thumbstick instead of a d-pad, dont think i like it.

I don't have Neo Neo but Iori Yagami is my favorite fighter of all time. In 4 1 for collection.

For $16, does it actually come with the USB dongle? Is that dongle the 8BitDo USB Wireless Controller Adapter 2? The adapter is worth $18 by itself.

It most likely is not the 8BitDo USB Wireless Controller Adapter 2. Check the photo of dongle - it doesn't say "2" on it.

It's still a "D-pad", as in directional pad...it's not an analog thumbstick like you are thinking. It's just the way the D-pad was designed on the old Neo Geo. Some people love it

Controller is nice and great for emulation. This worked on my RG35xx and Powkiddy X55 with some minor button changes.

Its not the wireless controller adapter 2. Its a 2.4Ghz one. I have the all black one I enjoy the controller use it with analogue pocket dock

it had only 9 reviews on amazon when i looked, and given amazon reviews seem gameable i tend to not trust them when the total is so low. i figure it's easy to round up a few family or employees and get them to post good reviews on your product when the total # of reviews is low. not saying at all that happened in this case, they are probably fine.

i didnt find a ton of yt review but a couple, one of which was linked in this thread, seemed to slant a bit negative. thats what i based my reviews comment on.

i did find a glowing website review later fwiw.

Here is the same one minus the graphics: over 200 reviews, 4.7 stars. No brainer if you just need a spare controller lying around
