Fully expected it to be a TN panel.
It's IPS.
250 nits is a little low.
Can't complain with that price though.

Thumbs up on this for a great upgrade for that arcade cabinet. Al you 1Up modders or ALU modders take a look.

Low input lag, low power modes and decent panel.

Decent specs and excellent price for a gaming monitor, but I've never heard of AOPEN before.

We're putting together a retro arcade cabinet. Anyone know if this monitor would be better than the MSI posted a few days ago? https://slickdeals.net/f/17212654-msi-pro-mp243x-24-ips-lcd-fhd-freesync-monitor-displayport-hdmi-black-79-99?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

Aopen is based in Taiwan, and used to be a unit of Acer. As for this monitor, several people have complained in the reviews of substantial ghosting. So in spite of the low latency, Aopen used a pretty slow panel that can't keep up very well. This is probably why it is priced so comparatively low.

Would this be good for an extra monitor for office work at home?

Some of these budget high Hz ips monitors have bad flicker. Bought a ktc recently with great specs for $100 and the one bad thing was it wasn't flicker free. Perfect pixel, 165hz, 350nit, but bad flicker management imo, irritated my eyes for longer sessions
