I've had a unit like this for the past 12 years. The big positive, is being able to put a load in to wash and dry before leaving for work (or going to sleep) and having it done by the time I'm back. The negative - it takes 3-5 hours for a load to go through wash and dry. I dont recall this ever being an issue for me, as we dont typically have anything that needs to be washed and dried quickly - but thats something to keep in mind when considering this machine

Do you have a unit with an actual heat pump? Lg and other brands have sold other models that don't use heat pumps. They use a cooling plate powered by water which causes it to take much longer to dry. I have one of those units as well, and i agree its not for everyone cause if you need something dried fast or just cleaned fast its just not going to happen. But the heat pump based units are much faster (wash and dry in 2-3 hours). Slightly slower than a traditional drier . But pretty darn close in my opinion and no need to move the close saves you some time as well(unless you need to take things out of the drier to air dry). The other big change that takes people a bit to get used to that all ventless units have is that they build up humidity in the machine. When you open it up once the cloths is done the cloths will almost feel a bit moist. This is just cause the air in the chamber is a bit humid. But it does confuse people the first time around.

Overall, all-in-one units are amazing in their convenience and efficiency, but they introduce some new quirks that you do need to get used to. I personally don't think i can ever go back to any other type of unit.

I have been using the GE Profile all in one for the last couple of months and it takes about 2 hours for a full load. These newer models use heat pumps to generate hot air. Older models of all in ones used a different technology. Check and see what yours is. May explain why it takes so long.

Can anyone comment on how hot the dryer gets compared to a traditional (on low heat)?
And can this be used without fabric softener without the static buildup you'd get in a vented dryer?

-I ask because I'd like to know if I can wash AND dry my expensive bicycle attire, rather than hang drying everything. Fabric softener also hampers the moister wicking ability of active-wear (another reason I hang-dry). Also because all my vented dryers shrink my jeans and sweat-pants no matter what settings I try. I'm trying to gauge if this would mitigate the issues.

Can anyone who has taken delivery of one of these already comment on how dry the gasket & inside tub are after a full wash/dry cycle? The manual mentions leaving door open to vent out/get rid of moisture as apposed to the GE which is always bone dry after wash/dry cycle and has no mention of needing to leave door open. If I am not mistaken the GE also has a fan that blows air into the gasket after and LG does not but have not been able to confirm this.

Mold prevention is probably my #1 reason to buy one of these new heat pump combo units.

Also on the detergent holder it looks like you can repurpose the softener to also be detergent if you prefer which is great as we do not use softener. Do you know if you can store 2 different types of detergent and select during wash cycle which one to use?

Lastly the manual says you need the machine to be 4" from the wall vs the GE says 0". As long as hoses are not being crushed, is there any technical reason this needs to be 4" from the wall?
The drum and gasket are bone dry at the end of all cycles 👍🏽

Did anyone get the Amex statement credit? I've been charged, but I'm not seeing a statement credit.
I used paypal with the Amex card, which I've done in the past and received credit.
Other issue maybe it is list as LG CNS, so not sure what the issue. Just wondering if anyone else got the credit from Amex but through Partner LG site.

Just got ours yesterday.

Loads come out dry, so far have done a full towel load and then mixed clothing.

A massive amount of lint on both runs, make sure you are cleaning that per run. It alerted my wife to that fact on the first run.

Clothes and Towels came out dry, smelling good, and not wrinkled at all.

We have it right up against the wall and no real issues so far.

Still too early to say how good it is, but pretty impressed early.

First load of laundry. Standard size laundry basket mixed. About 2.5 to 3 cubic feet.

- AI Wash + Dry - Tap Cold modifier
- Estimated 4.5 hours on start (more in next bullet point)
- Remembered I had wool layers, so little after dry cycle started, I removed them. Timer added another 22 minutes, so ETA just under 5 hours total
- I let it go through entire cycle. Almost 5 hours
- Machine was completely dry after
- Clothes felt as hot as coming out of gas dryer to me
- No static at all, didn't use softner or dryer sheet (and I accidentally left a pair of 68% merino pants in the load. Frown )

Total Energy Usage (per their app) - 2.3 kWh - really good for 5 hours I think

I need more wash cycles to see why it was 4.5 (I attribute the additional 22 minutes from opening it during the dry cycle). It maybe that I have it in an uninsulated garage. Outside temperature today was around 48 to 58 f, but I also have a heat pump water heater in garage. Need to get thermometer to see how cold garage actually is.

The manual mentions cold wash will add time. Most of my loads on the regular ai wash and dry cycle are 3 hours. Was hoping for better!

Why is my delivery date two months out on the Partner's site, but next week if I order from LG's standard site? Are they shipping from two different warehouses? If so, why? That makes me pause.

My credit posted today from amex. My pending charge initially disappeared but is now posted with 4% credit.

Does anyone know if you can use detergent pods in the drum safely with these new units?

Has anyone actually had their orders cancelled? Mine is arriving next week and I am keeping my fingers crossed there are no mishaps or damaged items.

People are reporting 3 and 5 hour cycles. That's way too long. Is the GE the same way?

I need this hauled up 3 flights of stairs. 😬 Have LG's installers/movers had any trouble or objected about stairs with this unit?

As far as I know they're all just contractors in your local area, doesn't matter if it's LG, Home Depot, Costco, etc. In terms of quality of service it's basically luck of the draw.
