As a car camper, I use the galvanized steel ones. I'd much rather drive around an extra pound and know my tent, rain fly, and canopy are staying put.

If I were backpacking, something like this would probably be worth having unless you're likely to deal with rocks under the ground.

Bought these exact ones in Sept 2020 for $15.95. Tempting but I don't NEED anymore, but I might someday….

As for how they work, they work just as expected. If you're going to hammer these into very, very hard soil, they may bend. Otherwise they are 100x better than the crappy ones that come with your tent and not quite as good as the Heavy Duty Galvanized Steel ones.

Tried several tent stakes over the years to use for camping, decorations etc. The best by far have been the Harbor Freight stakes. I will never go back to aluminum or plastic.

I had a 10% off one coupon to apply and 12% off two or more. Saved $3.40 off two, thanks!

Ordered July 2020

Item(s) Subtotal:$9.95

Not really a deal, I see a lot of other ones listed for about same price. I did pick up those hammock rain tarps recently though.

I have these, order 2022 Slickdeal wise owl combo discount, so not sure what my final item cost was. I've used them on the trail numerous times, they work great and are a great way to drop weight on tents and tarps for backpacking πŸ₯ΎπŸŽ’

I'm always breaking or losing ones for my Christmas decorations. I don't care about weight. Would these be any good or better off getting something metal?

That recent post for the Wise Owl hammock tarp was a fantastic deal. This one for just the stakes is OK if you need them, but not nearly so slick.

Assuming these are the same as the ones that came with the tarp, I will say they're worlds better than the flimsy wire steel or aluminum stakes you typically get with lower priced tents. These are anodized aluminum and have a tri-lateral cross-section (picture the Mercedes symbol without the outer circle). Much stiffer and durable (cue the inevitable 'that's what she said' comment).

I'm on the fence because I have a set of them here - somewhere!

These would be completely useless for that.

If you have a real Vb net you will need larger and stronger stakes. These are for smaller tents or tarps. They are fine for that. If you are talking about something like a badminton net or cheap garbage vb these light be ok. But when you said vb net I'm assuming you mean a real one.
