Curve seems completely unnecessary at 27" -- I'd be shocked if any company released a curved 27".
Correct. The curve is meant for wide screens. It makes more sense for an ultrawide to make the screen not as horizontally long. 27" in a non ultrawide ratio just isn't that wide to begin with.
OLED is the last type of monitor I'd look at for office work. Subpixel layouts make for some pretty bad looking text. This is purely a gaming/content consumption monitor.
For what it's worth, I have the AW3423DWF and the text looks absolutely fine in Windows sitting about 24 inches from the display. When I replaced the AW3418DW with this one, I used the Windows ClearType tool to adjust the appearance of text and it's never been an issue.

It's objectively blurry but it will vary person to person on how much it bothers you or how much you notice. I purchased the AW3423DWF a while back and returned it a few days later, text was a total dealbreaker for me. Glad it doesn't bother you though.
This monitor or the 4k one is a must buy for anybody that can get the 15% cb or the $200 amex platinum coupon or even 5% from id.me. - you are essentially paying Black Friday price for something that is day 1! Of course the other oled/qdoleds have cool stuff like game cheating, kswitch, gaming crosshair but the price they're charging is way more than dells. Reviews for this monitor is very good too for color accuracy

Got the 4k model by splitting the payment on two different Amex cards with the $120 back on 599 for $240 total. Combined with the 15% cb and the 5% id.me it was hard to pass up.

$720 before tax is an insane price for this new top tier monitor. That's a lot of stacking.
Why have I even entered here? Bought 27" one with 15% cash back from well known site
How can I find the name of this site? I assume you're unable to post a link here. Really wanna pick this up but don't know the Slickdeals secret sauce.
The power of a forum like this is that this thread will be availble years from now. Someone in the future can search for this particular model number in the search box, and see what this monitor originally sold for on day 1 because of this thread. To get an idea how much the price has fallen over time. You're welcome. 😉

It's probably the most famous and popular cashback site but it's blocked on this site for obvious reasons. Just do a little bit of research and you can find it easily. People have already given hints.
The 15% CB is no longer available. It only lasted for last weekend. 15% CB is pretty rare. Normally, the highest CB is around 12%.
Did anyone actually get a cashback notification, though? My monitor (I went AW3225QF not the 27) has been shipped and delivered as of a few days ago, and still nothing in regards to the cashback.
I'm already leaning towards returning the monitor due to eARC not actually passing audio, which is the main reason for my purchase, as well as some small QC issues like the anti glare coating has some dust bubbles here and there. So unless the cashback actually shows within a day or two it's a definite return for me.

Quite possibly the perfect gaming / content watching and creation monitor.

15% CB was good enough for most people.
Even if the review has it not being a perfect monitor it's still an amazing monitor at that price
