Bonus/Account Information: Offer not available to existing Chase checking customers, or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years. You can receive only one new checking account opening related bonus every two years from the last coupon enrollment date and only one bonus per account. Coupon is good for one-time use. To receive the bonus: 1) Open a new Chase Total Checking account, which is subject to approval; AND 2) Have your direct deposits totaling $500 or more made into the new checking account within 90 days of coupon enrollment. Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Person to Person payments (such as Zelle®) are not considered a direct deposit. Micro-deposits do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. Micro-deposits are small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account. After you have completed all the above requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days. To receive this bonus, the enrolled account must not be closed or restricted at the time of payout. Eligibility may be limited based on account ownership. Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT (or Form 1042-S, if applicable).
Offer availability subject to change. Other Chase checking bonus offers may exist concurrently.

Yes the $300 was deposited 4 days after the direct deposit hit.

Thanks!
Does anyone here know if a ACH/Direct transfer from Fidelity/Cap1/Schwab would qualify for DD?

I never got my money. Chase is very shady, including Prime Visa. If you don't pay your monthly balance before the due date, you get hit with up to 29.24% interest. The only way to avoid this is to pay in full a week before the due date.

I did this one late last year/ earlier this year. They did eventually pay all the bonuses, and then I closed both accounts a few days later. Do read the fine print and make sure you meet their requirements, but I did appreciate the $900 (minus what I lost by moving money out of an interest-bearing account that was around 5% at the time).
How are you guys opening and closing accounts with the direct deposit requirement? Do you have multiple direct deposits or are you moving them around? This is all easy money but I only have one income and hesitant to keep changing banks.

How long did it take to get that savings account bonuses after the 90 days?
Why is that? Currently have Ally but figured I needed a physical bank to bank at. I've only heard good things about Chase when it came to their app.
Follow-up…I actually kept my account. Chase has improved my experience with them compared to many years ago. I was pleasantly surprised. And yes, their app (and website) is very good and easy to navigate.
I'm in the same boat as you…Ally + chase = good combo. Even better if you have the chase credit card to get points and discounts on purchases
My $500 direct deposit was received on 7/26 and the $300 bonus has not appeared yet It seems like many people have been receiving theirs well before the 15 day designated period. Anyone else waiting?

I just got off the phone with Chase. I had called to inquire as to why my bonus has not been deposited. The rep told me that payroll direct deposit made on 7/26 does not show as a payroll transaction. It is definitely payroll, and for a rather large organization. I will try one of these workarounds.
How long I have to keep these accounts open ? I got the 900$ offer for opening both checking/savings account back in March should I be good to close then now ? In the past there used to be a clause saying have to keep accounts open for 6 month or something like that..
I sent a secure message to Chase asking them to get to the bottom of my not getting the bonus even though I had a legitimate $500 direct deposit from my employer. They responded in a timely manner, and I now see that my bonus was deposited.
