After you have completed all the above requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 15 days. Yes the $300 was deposited 4 days after the direct deposit hit.
The slicker deal is combining it with opening a Chase savings for $900 total bonus.

Open a Chase Total Checking account and Chase Savings account using https://account.chase.com/consume...vingsoffer
Chase Total Checking: Get a $300 bonus when you set up direct deposits totaling at least $500.
Chase Savings: Get a $200 bonus when you deposit a total of $15,000 or more within 30 days of coupon enrollment and maintain the balance for 90 days.
Chase Total Checking + Chase Savings: Get an extra $400 bonus ($900 in total bonuses) when you open both at the same time and complete all qualifying activities.
Got my $300. But I think I'll be closing the account soon. I hate chase as a company
Thanks!

Does anyone here know if a ACH/Direct transfer from Fidelity/Cap1/Schwab would qualify for DD?

How long until you got it
Just a few business days. Their response to my message acknowledged that their was some issue with their system that did not acknowledge the deposit as a payroll DD, and they told me that someone would be reaching out to me. I checked my account today and saw the bonus was there, even without them reaching out to me.

Definitely do the $900 bonus, I f*cked up and only did the $300. Someone get the free money I missed. $15k deposit though.

US bank has a $450 bonus, with 8k direct deposit.

Wells fargo has $325, with 1k direct deposit.

Citi has another $300 bonus, forgetting details 🙃

I signed up with the $900 checking/savings coupon to start a joint account with my wife. She is depositing money from her other Chase account to bring up our savings total to 15k. Im worried that money won't qualify, as it's not "new" money to Chase which the fine print said it needed to be. Should I have her transfer it out to her other bank and back into our account? Or is that an unnecessary step?

Also my initial deposit was into checking, and then I transferred it into savings, I was wondering if they're going to try and disqualify that money as well because they'll see it as coming from the attached checking account?

I've never had a Chase account before this so I'm not sure how pedantic they can be. Thanks to anyone with any advice.
Same question, can I move money from wife's Chase account to my new Chase saving account to bring the amount up to $15k. Will this qualify?

Anyone had second thoughts about the "consumer report authorization" needed to complete this deal? Was about to sign up for it when I encountered that direct consumer report authorization request. Upon reading it, it gave Chase almost all information about me at any time to check demographics, social status, and possibly everything else. I understand that they probably can obtain all these information from different sources without my consent, but giving them this explicit authorization without an end date just seems to be too much for me to justify this deal.

Just my experience, but it seems that they recently cut back dramatically on what would qualify as a DD. I did this about 18 months ago when it was good for $900 total and an ACH transfer from an online casino that I milk for about 50 a week in promo $ worked fine. About a year later I had my father sign up for the same promo and every method we tried failed, including cashing out iBonds and other non payroll/pension ACH deposits that have worked for me in the past when milking these offers...just not this time around with Chase.

Eventually when it became clear none were going to work he just had to do the extra legwork to temporarily transfer his pension DD to Chase before swapping it back to his normal bank.

Went for the $900 offer. They paid the $300 as soon as the checking requirements were met. Now it's a waiting game to get the remaining $600.

Spot on. Went in today and they shot me right down saying it has to be a minimum of 24 months before receiving an additional offer. Which is much different than Wells Fargo or Truist who have only 12 month requirements

Let me say this. NOTHING is free. The money you're getting (or think you might get) is not free, actually, the bank is coming out on top else they won't offer this promotion. Banks can lend 10x the deposits they receive so the $500 direct deposit is $5000 liquidity for them, the $15k savings deposit is $150k liquidity for loans and investments. The bonus you're getting is peanuts especially after the bank has a poor reputation & business practices. My advice is to satisfy the requirements, take the bonus and close your account as soon as possible.

is it two years from when you received the bonus, or two years when you closed the account?
