Yes the $300 was deposited 4 days after the direct deposit hit.
The slicker deal is combining it with opening a Chase savings for $900 total bonus.

Open a Chase Total Checking account and Chase Savings account using https://account.chase.com/consume...vingsoffer
Chase Total Checking: Get a $300 bonus when you set up direct deposits totaling at least $500.
Chase Savings: Get a $200 bonus when you deposit a total of $15,000 or more within 30 days of coupon enrollment and maintain the balance for 90 days.
Chase Total Checking + Chase Savings: Get an extra $400 bonus ($900 in total bonuses) when you open both at the same time and complete all qualifying activities.
Got my $300. But I think I'll be closing the account soon. I hate chase as a company
Thanks!

Does anyone here know if a ACH/Direct transfer from Fidelity/Cap1/Schwab would qualify for DD?

Is there anyway to see the status of the coupon?

I wanted the $900 deal, opened up a checking, but then realized, I need to open both at once to get the $900 promo.

So I clicked the $900 deal, opened both checking and savings, then called Chase to delete the first account. However I have concerns they closed the wrong account

CIT bank has a $300 offer. all you have to do is deposit 50k and wait 2 months. don't have to do direct deposits or any of that. in addition to that CIT currently has the best savings interest rate, currently 4.3%.

i am self employed and i don't get "direct deposits", so i can't qualify for stuff like this. just depositing $500 of your own money will not satisfy this offer.

terrible checking + savings account (no APY, no ATM reimbursement, surcharge for foreign $ withdrawal) although it's a great relationship to have to churn through INK cards + Chase biz card products to hoard Ultimate Rewards points.

not true; openbank.us/banking/high-yield-savings-account [openbank.us] @ 4.4% APY (just dropped from 4.5%) -- this is Santander bank expanding to USA.

I have my regional bank providing 6% APY on a checking account & providing perks Chase simply does not offer.

Open a Venmo account. Add funds from a different bank account. Transfer funds from Venmo in to the bank you are trying to get the dd's for. Boom. Now you are self employed and you have direct deposits.

What exactly constitutes direct deposit? I don't get government money on a steady basis and my check from my employer is the only one I can think of.

It likely is triggered by an ACH or Wire Transfer. Zelle, an eCheck, a Physical Check, or Cash would not constitute

It says one bonus per account, if I had an account two years ago and got the bonus then does that mean I am not eligible since I have gotten one bonus already?

That is definitely not a slicker deal. Its actually a loss - equivalent of paying over MSRP.

If you had $300K and invest it in treasury bills you would get around 4.2% or $12,600 per year (and do not have to pay state income tax). And you cannot invest in treasury bills to get the chase private client bonus.
