FYI the newer and better 622 battery pack regularly goes on sale at TikTok shop for around $10,$15, or $30ish. I snagged a couple at the $10 and $15 price. What makes that better is the kickstand, the silicon feel, and most importantly USB C charging port is on the side of the unit, allowing you to use it as a night stand while charging. I'd wait for that one over this.

Not an iPhone user. Buying this for someone else. If the phone case is not MagSafe, does this charger stick to the iPhone when the (non-compatible) case is removed? Or is having a MagSafe case a must?

EDIT - Answering my own question:
It sticks to compatible iPhones. And when a case is used, it has to be a magnetic case for the charger to stick.
