Be warned that this game has problems. The core game play has promise but it isn't as developed as the xcom games. The biggest drawback is that the thin RPG that's wrapped around the tactical game play is not fun, interesting and doesn't tie in well with the battles. It's written for a target audience that's maybe middle school aged - it's corny even for a marvel theme. What's worse is the rpg has super long dialogues and senseless fetch quests that are unskippable. After the first few hours I just tried to mash through those just to get to the tactical play but it's too tedious.

I bought it day one as a fan of the developer and marvel but I really regret it.

I missed the deal when it was $10 at GameStop over the summer. Hoping it hits that again one day.

I find the RPG elements a lot of fun. Obviously if you are looking for a more combat / tactical based game like the XCOMs, Midnight Suns isn't for you.

FYI if you want all the DLC, you should get Legendary edition. That edition was recently on sale on all digital platforms over the holidays for $30.

I HATE arpgs, but this was hella enjoyable. The gameplay is challenging and intuitive.

Awful lot of dumb comments from people who haven't even played this. It's actually a really fun game.

Been this price for the last month https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/902950

Anyway I picked it up a week ago and have been hooked. Gameplay is similar to Mario v Rabbids & P5T

I really enjoyed this game. I just recently just finished it and was surprised by how much content was in the game and how much I enjoyed it. I've never played XCOM but found the card battles and RPG elements really fun. All the different relationship systems and content in the "homeworld" were great and gave meaningful rewards beyond just cosmetics. The story was a bit odd for a marvel game but it wasn't awful. I don't think card battle games like this are for everyone but if you are on the fence I would definitely pick it up.

The RPG elements of this game is pretty much the same as Fire Emblem Three Houses. You gain friendship points through dialogue, gifts, and battle. If you didn't like that piece from Fire Emblem, you probably won't like this game
