One of the best "dad games" I've ever played. Sit down, grab a beer, and have fun. Zero twitch and I get that wandering the abbey (your homebase) bits can be viewed as boring, but for me, it's really easy to get into a rhythm with it and it's great to play for an hour or so before I hit the hay each night.

Not sure where you're getting that from. It is basically XCOM mixed with a card system.

I personally love card systems. Slay the Spire/Baten Kaitos/etc.

Speaking of, looks like Baten Kaitos 1/2 are getting a Switch remaster.

I played this when steam had a free weekend a couple weeks ago. Seemed fun but all of the characters I met kind of felt like cosplayers. Like the store brand of all of them. Not horrible but it's something you'd notice. Seemed fun from what I played but I think I'm gonna hold out for a little lower than this.

I tried it using the 2-hour trial on Playstation Premium. I enjoyed the time and actually played the full 2 hours. Still, being a single-player game, and my huge backlog, I'll wait for it to hit $10-15.

If you're tired of all the adrenaline pumping fast paced shooters this is a game for you. The turn based strategy is fun and you can go at your own pace.
The interactions between the characters is pretty cool, especially for a long time marvel fan like myself. I actually recommend the legendary edition so you get the season pass included, otherwise you would have to buy it separate. You get additional characters, totally worth it.

I loved XCOM/XCOM2 and tried this game when it was on steam. The game play is actually decent, but the voice acting is far worse than anything I expected. I guess after paying for the Marvel license they didn't have enough left over to pay for a good script or decent voice actors. I agree I'm going to wait until it drops to $20 or less.
