Looks like Home Depot's stock was gobbled up. So if the original price is still good for people that is an option.

It's still available at Amazon from what I see, just a long delivery wait.

That there was once a ridiculously low temporary price on something and it is now a higher price has nothing whatsoever to do with inflation. If you look at the camel price chart for this item, it looks like the typical selling price is within a buck or two going back more than a decade and this sale price is a few bucks less than that.

I've used this hammer for years, still going strong. Works great for tamping landscape blocks into place, versus the rubber mallet ones that break after a couple weeks.
