Why does this have any upvotes? Isn't this literally the regular price for this set?

Because this set is nearly impossible to find which means anyone who wants it has been paying ABOVE retail.

Lego collectors know why. Once a set retires from retail stores it usually pops in price right away. This set retired in November, 2023 so it is selling for above retail on the secondary market. So I thought finding it for retail, from a reputable source like Amazon (sold by Amazon and not a 3rd party), was a good deal.

Furthermore, when this set was not retired, it rarely went on sale for much of a discount anyway.

Yeah, walmart's 5 second sale was the only time I saw a decent discount.

Fair enough. I guess I don't really have my finger on the pulse of the Lego collectors community. I was just going by the historical price trend.

I was lucky and got one. Built it two weeks ago.

Retail price is a deal and worthy to be posted here?
Not only did you ask a question that was already posted but said question had a very reasonable answer as well…

Thanks for posting in for at least a few. The fact that it's officially retired and still listed as retail is a deal to me

It went on sale quite a few times for $80 and lower. If you use a certain cashback site, pooh's favorite food, even cheaper since this set was one of the sets that constantly got extra cash back.

No one really cared for this set. At this point, it's just FOMO.
