Theres something different about these green cans versus red cans. I sprayed the green can on a painted floor and within seconds the paint bubble up and peeled off while red cans didnt.

Brakleen in the red can (dry cleaning fluid aka PERC) does the best job on cleaning brakes, but really bad for you to breathe. Also fantastic for removing grease stains from cloth upholstery. And the best wasp/hornet spray ever. The green can Brakleen clean is basically just acetone, so it is good for removal of some types of paint.
Ok. You answered my comment above.

Brake cleaner is not all the same. I buy brake cleaner by the pallet and trust me, each brand performs differently, and the Super Tech is the worst I've used hands-down.

Not hating on the brand, just stating facts. Yes, I know Walmart doesn't manufacture their chemicals (their oil made by Highline-Warren for example), but they do outsource to the lowest bidder.

If anyone is curious what I use/like due to heavy usage, the CRC 19oz non-flammable is the second best overall IMO (best non-flammable). Third best is AutoZone's Shop Pro (what I use most - value winner via commercial discounts, but terrible when spraying any way but upright). Top performer I've ever used is Mopar's brake cleaner, but I just can't justify the cost. No I'm not a Mopar fan.
I buy brake cleaner and carb cleaner by the cases. Genuinely curious if you know how your brands mentioned stack against the ones I always buy. Berrymans or Johnsens. I haven't found anything better than berrymans to date (disliked supertech) and always looking for better

FYI: This stuff is basically aerosolized acetone, which has several uses outside of automotive. For instance, priming the substrate when taping seams on a TPO roof (flat roof or RV)
I mostly just but acetone by the gallon and use that with a rag on lots of things. Way cheaper than this spray can stuff.

Was thinking about that when I saw the post about it being acetone - what's a gallon cost now, still under $20? Getting harder to find good prices on bulk solvents from the big box retailers.

To be honest, it has been a long time since I've used Berryman's, so I couldn't rank it accurately. I don't recall if I've ever used Johnsen's though. I'll buy a case or two of each and do my usual 'blind test' with the guys and see what I/they think. I always wrap/cover the labeling and switch out cap colors if they are different so that there's no way to tell what it is without lifting the wrapping. They always like it when I keep them guessing, and they have no filter when it comes to input good or bad so I always get great feedback. Never hurts to refresh what's good and bad to re-evaluate expenses and the bottom line. It'll take some time, but I'll report back once I have some results.

Posts like this are the reason whenever I buy brake cleaner I always buy 2 cans of high VOC. 1 to clean parts and 1 to spray out the window on the drive home.
LOL, that was funny!! I was kinda kidding about the VOC part, though I do much prefer painting with low/no VOC paint, huge difference for me. Wife and kids don't complain either, haha!

Still a decent price, much better than the $30 I saw today at Lowe's. Good thing a gallon goes a long ways.

This is one of those stupid things that COVID made expensive but I suspect will come back down to inflation adjusted normal price in the next few years, if not this year. The manufactures did have a disruption, but it's not justifiable and competitors will come into the market.

Like AquaWinter4340 said, Walmart has been selling this stuff for cheap for awhile. There's no point in paying more except if you are a sucker that won't shop around.

That being said, this is still a good deal. My Lowes says it has 16 in stock, but I almost never use this stuff (I use lots of isopropyl and acetone). Not worth the trip for me.
Isopropyl alcohol is a great idea but maybe 90% at least is good for brake rotors?
