It was listed about a week or two ago here, and open boxes were even cheaper.
Can I modify it to my heart's content? Load custom roms? Maybe if I jailbreak it? I'm too old for that now and just want a phone that works.
I have an iphone 12 pro max and their last firmware update broke phone call audio. Apple is not signing the older software versions anymore so I cant revert to the working firmware. 2 updates ago the removed the default chimes for alerts and everyone was missing notifications because the other alerts were to low volume and it didnt register with people when they heard it. Many people missed important notifications as a result. I have been using iphones for a long time but I may switch back to samsung/android. Currently have an escalated support case with apple.
I had the Pixel 7a and it was great but now I am on a Pixel 8 and use it more than my iPhone 15 pro max. What issues are you facing with the Pixel 7?

Well those are different phones and possibly different manufacturers. Pixel Pro 7 has massive touch screen issues (worst I have ever used out of 30+ android phones) and the system just hangs and freezes using the Google search app and other various apps. Also there are bluetooth connectivity issues since the last update. It's been a lemon since I got it a year ago

Wow! That was a giant leap from software quality to DEI hiring. Move on and don't buy a phone if you don't like it. Let's keep our posts related to the deal and not use Slickdeals as a vent for our political frustrations.

Pretty much my experience too.
Had Android since G1 and take great care of my devices.
One day, about a year after purchase, I open my Fold 4 and screen splits down the middle from the tension in their crappy built-in screen protector.
Honestly think they need to fix this for good customers.
And of course, they have mysteriously skipped their (previously regular) repair promos for the Fold4.
So, now I have a narrow but thick regular phone.
Got lucky and picked up a Greek squad recertified fold 4 512gb two weeks ago for $557. It have some light scratches on the front screen but kept it since still had 20 months of the care plus warranty.
These open boxes are very hit and miss.
Got my Fold 4 brand new on Aug 22. On may 23 the fold didn't open flat suddenly! I took it to u break I fix it and it was under warranty so they replaced the whole panel ($800!!) Under warranty. Less than 6 months later, in Nov 23, it happened again!!! And guess what! No warranty for it anymore. Today they announced s24 ultra and I don't see any Fold 4 in their trade in list!! There is fold 3 and fold 5 but somehow they omit fold 4! They know what mess they created with this one they don't even want to take it back! Now I got stuck with a fold 4 that no one buys it from me not even Samsung will take it back! Worst phone ever, avoid at any cost.
